Dhangadi, 25 May 2020: In close coordination and technical support from Loo Niva, Sudoorpaschim Province government organized 10 days capacity building training to all education officers of the its province. The program was conducted for 10 days; started from 16 to 25 May 2020. More than 60 education officers and representatives from Sudoorpaschim Province participated in the training.
The main theme of the training was build the capacity of the education officers (newly selected or old officers) on the newly adapted education plan and policies by Nepal government. Besides that, the training has provided information on the act and policies which applies in local level, annual planning process and implementation, local education directory and procedure, accepted program and its process, annual report skill, public procurement arrangement, budget release process, writing skills on minuet and notes writing and technical skills on IEMIS.
Dr. Hari Prashad Lamsal, secretary of ministry of social development, Sudoorpaschim Province emphasized the important of training and also gave vote of thanks to Loo Niva for its technical support.
“I wanted to focus on skill development and discussion today – because it holds great achievement for policy and practice, for how we bring quality performance and governance – training made today to ensure officers skillful and quality deliver in their respective offices.”
At the closing ceremony, the Executive Director of Loo Niva, Mr. Narendra Dangol gave vote of thanks to Ministry of Social Development for believing and choosing Loo Niva for cooperation.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. It's the pleasure moment of Loo Niva – opportunity to invest the budget for developing the capacity of the government officer. We hope it would be the significant event for enhancing the professional skills with all the officers. Loo Niva hopes for the quality deliver in the field by all participants and well coordinate with civil society in coming days.”
He mentioned that 197 the schools of Sudoorpaschim Province which are utilizing as quarantine for COVID-19. He requested to do timely monitoring in schools whether schools are utilizing as per regulated act by Ministry of education.
Mr. Jhankar Bahadur Bista, joint secretary of Ministry of Social Development – Sudoorpaschim Province formally concluded the 10 days training by expressing his appreciation to the strong commitment of all participants' officers, their presence at the training and shows strong commitment for development of education.
