Dadeldhura, Leaders from different political parties show their commitment to abide the code of conduct of the election commission and ensure the right to education of all children.
All the political leaders said that they will be serious on the child rights and child protection. They committed that they ensure incorporate the children’s issues in their manifesto.
After discussion and collection of feedback, all the declarations and commitments were handed over to political parties.
Mr. Kiran Thapa, Co-chair of National Acting and Coordinating Group (NACG) presented the common suggestions written by all the national networks working on the issues of child rights and more than 500 civil society organizations. All the participants actively joined in the discussion program and put their suggestion and recommendations. The recommendation paper has been revised after having the suggestion and recommendation from the floor and handover the recommendation letter to the major political parties of Sudurpaschim province of Nepal.
Mr. Gyan Bhakta Maharjan, secretariat of EWG has emceed the program. Mr. Narendra Dangol, executive director of Loo Niva and Immediate past president of CZOP welcomed and highlighted on the program objectives. Mr. Sant Ram Dangol, National Coordinator of EWG gave his thank you speech and Mr. Sher Bahadur Basnet the chair of Province level Education Watch Group concluded the program.
