Loo Niva, in partnership with local governments, organized a s exposure visit for 33 trained school teachers of Dadeldura district from April 4 to 10, 2025. The main objective of the event was to learn from model schools in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. The program strengthens teachers' practical skills in child-centered learning, inclusive education, classroom management, and the creative use of learning materials.
During the week-long visit, the teachers observed teaching practices and interacted with the school teachers. The team visited Chandidevi Basic School, Dukuchhap Lalitpur, Adarsha Saula Yubak Secondary School, Bungmati Lalitpur, Bishwo Niketan, Kathmandu, and Bageshwari Secondary School, Bhaktapur. The participants were inspired by the schools' strong focus on effective classroom organization, active community involvement, and inclusive teaching methods.
The exposure visit ended with a learning review session in Nagarkot, Kathmandu. All the participants shared their experiences and motivational parts by what they had seen and learned in model schools. The teachers jointly prepared and signed the Kathmandu Commitment 2081, committed to applying knowledge and skills in their schools back in Dadeldhura.
