Loo Niva conducted internal monitoring visits of all three projects (ESP, REAP and CLEAP) during this quarter. The monitoring team visited across project areas to review project progress, observe activities, and identify areas for improvement. The monitoring teams visited schools and interacted with students, teachers, child clubs, SMCs/PTAs, parents, local governments, LAMCs, and project staff.
The visits found positive progress in child rights awareness, inclusive education, child-centered teaching, teacher capacity in designing teaching-learning materials and assessment systems, parent engagement, Green School practices, and School Improvement Planning. Schools were increasingly applying child-centered teaching methods and using teaching-learning materials in classrooms.
The monitoring also identified areas requiring further attention, including school dropout, child labour and child marriage, weak parental and community engagement, limited home-based learning support, insufficient follow-up and supervision, weak SIP implementation, and documentation gaps. The findings will guide future follow-up actions and help strengthen project implementation and sustainability.
