CLEAP project successfully conducted one-day parent orientation sessions across communities in Dadeldhura district. These sessions covered seven important modules focused on child rights, protection, and inclusion.
A total of 22 orientation events were held, among them 13 in Bhageshwar and 9 in Nawadurga rural municipality. The events were conducted in close coordination with teachers and community members.
Overall, 683 participants, including 469 females, 211 males, and 3 persons with disabilities, actively took part in these events. This year's theme, Disability-friendly schools, highlighted the importance of inclusive education for all children.
Following the sessions, parents showed more positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities and expressed strong commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment in their families and communities.
