Loo Niva organized advocacy and lobby meetings on 20th and 21st May 2026 in Konjyosom Rural Municipality and Mahankal Rural Municipality (Wards 1 and 3) under the REAP project to strengthen collaboration with local governments and schools for inclusive education. The meeting focused on improving disability-friendly school infrastructure and promoting the effective use of the Emergency Education Assistance Fund and advancing Green School initiatives through local planning and budget allocation.
In Konjyosom, Participants reviewed the utilization of the Emergency Educational Assistance Fund and Green School progress, highlighting the implementation of the Green School Action Plan at Baleshwori Secondary School. An appeal letter and the baseline survey report were submitted to the Education Officer to encourage continued support for inclusive and child-friendly schools.
In Mahankal Rural Municipality, the baseline findings identified major accessibility gaps, including the lack of ramps in most schools. Participants discussed the need for accessible infrastructure, gender-segregated toilets, child-friendly furniture, and effective fund utilization. The meeting concluded with the submission of an appeal letter and baseline report of the ward chairperson, advocating for greater investment in inclusive and environmentally friendly schools. The meetings strengthened coordination among local governments, schools, and stakeholders, reinforcing their shared commitment to creating inclusive, accessible, and sustainable learning environments for all children.
