Loo Niva has organized 3-day training on child club functioning; leadership skills among child club leaders from 2 to 4 April 2023 at Rato Gurans Resort Dadeldhura. The main objectives of the training were to orient on the purpose of child club formation, child rights, issues of the children in Dadeldhura district, and the policies related to the children and the leadership skills. The whole training was facilitated by Mr. Milan Raj Dharel, former executive director of the National Child Rights Council, Mr. Kiran Thapa, child rights activist, and Mr. Gyan Bhakta Maharjan, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator of Loo Niva. 28 child club leaders (14 girls and 14 boys) of Bhageshwar and Nawadurga rural municipalities participated in the training.
The training capacitated the child club members on child rights, child participation, key issues of children in local government and legal policy and provision related to children, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills and also empowered them to form child club, organize child club meetings, and prepared their action plan.
