Loo Niva has supported to conducting of the child club activities in different project schools during this quarter. 7 school-level child clubs have conducted annual planning meetings in this quarter. 1 child club of Bhageshwar and 6 of Nawadurga have conducted the programs. These kinds of programs motivate the children and also help to develop extra skills. The annual plan for this year includes every activity that the child club has carried out since its establishment. The plan also includes advocacy-oriented programs aimed at bringing about some sort of social change.
Altogether 76 activities have been conducted by the school-based child clubs of project schools of Dadeldhura during this quarter. They conducted some activities in the community as well in collaboration with their respective wards. They conducted an essay writing competition on child marriage, a quiz contest, a drawing competition, and a speech competition, and showed the street drama on child marriage and the importance of education. These are the major events conducted by the child clubs during this quarter.
Similarly, Loo Niva supported child club activities in Konjyosom and Mahankal Rural Municipality. 3 school-level child clubs of Shree Buddha Bhagwan Secondary School, Shree Kalidevi Secondary School, and Shree Baghbhairab Secondary School were supported with gifts for their extra-curricular activities. Additionally, Loo Niva supported Shree Baleshwori Secondary School, Konjyosom drama customs. These clubs serve as vital platforms for fostering engagement, creativity, and a sense of community among the young members.
On 2nd December 2023 marking International Disability Day, Loo Niva organized a drawing competition specifically for children with disabilities. 15 children with disabilities participated in the event. It was one of the very first disability day celebrations in Mahankal rural municipality.
