Loo Niva and Patan CBR organized a project orientation of Promoting Right to Education and Protection of Children (PREP) on the 28th of January, 2024 at Mahankal rural municipality and Konjyosom rural municipality with its commitments and interventions to child protection and education for the year 2024. The event was held at the respective rural municipality program hall. 79 key stakeholders participated in the event including representatives from the Rural Municipality (RM), government officials, educators, disability help desk members, and child club representatives. 40 participants participated at Mahankal and 39 participated at Konjyosom. The orientations were led by Ms. Suchitra Thapa, program officer of Loo Niva at Mahankal, and Mr. Ram Kunwar project officer of Patan CBR at Konjyosom, parallel on the same day same time.
Mr. Manoj Prasad Dulal, Senior Social Mobilization Officer of Loo Niva, led the program with grace, setting the tone for a collaborative and informative session. The objectives were shared: to introduce PREP's goals and significance, share planned activities for 2024, solicit feedback for program enhancement, underscore stakeholder roles, and foster ongoing collaboration. Ms. Suchitra Thapa presented an overview of PREP and its interventions for 2024.
Dolma Maya Gole, the vice-chairperson and MPAC Coordinator, Joni Kumar Nyasur, the chairperson of ward No.2, and Dolma Maya Gole, expressed strong support for PREP. They emphasized the importance of empowering and protecting children in the region.
Similarly, Loo Niva successfully organized project orientation at both project municipalities of the Community Leadership on Education and Protection (CLEAP) project at Dadeldhura. These orientations were conducted at the program halls of the rural municipalities of Nawadurga and Bhageshwar on January 19 and 29, 2024 respectively. Altogether 74 participants including 61 males and 13 females, attended from both rural municipalities. Loo Niva provided stakeholders with comprehensive information regarding all planned activities for the year 2024., underscoring the importance of their involvement in project implementation, which is a core responsibility of Loo Niva. So, project orientations were conducted among stakeholders and beneficiaries across all project locations, fostering engagement and enabling the collection of commitments from local governments. This initiative also facilitated the identification of potential areas for collaboration efforts. Valuable feedback and recommendations were received from stakeholders, contributing to ongoing enhancements and improvements.
