Loo Niva and Patan CBR jointly organized a two-day workshop on Policies, Plans, and Programs related to safe, supportive and inclusive education for the Local Assembly Members of Konjyosom and Mahankal Rural Municipality of Lalitpur District on 21 - 22 July 2022 and province parliamentarians (members of Education, Health, and Agriculture Committee) of Bagmati province on 28-29 July at Nagarkot.
The workshop succeeded to form a common opinion among local assembly members of both municipalities and organizations to protect and promote safe, supportive, and inclusive education and overall children's rights. In the program, the local assembly members and parliamentarians expressed their commitment to formulating necessary laws, and policies in the sector of children and inclusive education, building necessary mechanisms and including them in the programs with importance and priority. Both policy dialogues were facilitated by Mr. Milan Raj Dharel, former executive director of the National Child Right Council and human rights activist. Mr. Narendra Dangol, Executive Director and Mr. Sant Ram Dangol, Program Manager of Loo Niva also facilitated in policy dialogue of local assembly members.
The program was conducted in coordination with the Education, Health, and Agriculture Committee of Bagmati province.
