Loo Niva and Patan CBR conducted a meeting with the Help Desk Committee members focusing on the functioning of the Help Desk in Konjyosom and Mahankal rural municipalities of south Lalitpur. The meeting discussed the role and responsibility of the focal person and the municipal disability support committee during the operation and functioning of the help desk. They have also discussed the process of establishment of the Disability Help Desk during the meeting. Both Konjyosom and Mahankal rural municipalities have committed to the functioning of the Disability Help Desk in coordinating with the Women, Children, and Senior Citizen Department. The meeting has addressed operational cost for the functioning of the Desk at the initial phase is low. Thus, there it will be operated considering the minimal expenses of the helpdesk to be supported by Loo Niva and Patan CBR. While in the coming days, concrete plans will be made by the Municipal Disability Support Committee in coordinating with the local government.
